“We couldn’t recommend Wendy and her gardens more! Not only were the gardens absolutely gorgeous but so much effort went into meeting with us beforehand to recommend other services and discuss all the finer details. Wendy went above and beyond to make the day perfect and as stress free as possible. Everything ran so smoothly and there were SO many amazing places for photo opportunities! Wendy puts so much time and effort into every single occasion. It was also a huge plus to be able to have our “baby” (3 year old boxer dog) as part of the ceremony. The house and gardens are stunning but Wendy and her small team make the experience that much better, you can definitely trust them to take care of business!”

“We used Sweet Magnolia Estate for our wedding and were delighted that we did. Ours was a slightly different wedding in that it was booked and planned from Scotland, and right from the very start we received excellent help and advice from Wendy. All our questions were answered and Wendy worked hard to put us at ease.
Once we actually arrived in NZ things only got better. On our initial visit to the garden Wendy had lunch ready for us and showed us round the gardens, pointing things out and suggesting what works where etc. The gardens themselves are in immaculate condition and on the day itself, Wendy managed to make them look even more sensational. For the money it’s hard to imagine better value or service anywhere. We would recommend Wendy of Sweet Magnolia Estate for your wedding, as you really can’t get any better.”

“The beauty and serenity of Sweet Magnolia Estate contributed hugely to our amazing wedding day. Every effort was made to ensure the grounds were perfect, the guests enjoyed themselves, and that we had a beautiful day. Consequently, our wedding photos were gorgeous and many people commented on the amazing backdrop. We would highly recommend Sweet Magnolia Estate for a memorable special occasion.”

“Sweet Magnolia Estate is a little treasure of a venue. The driveway resembles the approach to an English country estate, with poplars, hedge and bridge. A clear stream runs through the property. There is plenty of room to put up a marquee also if it’s required. There are areas of open shade too – ideal for flattering photos of faces, family groups etc.
An absolutely wonderful feature of this venue is the top story room (of the house) that overlooks the front garden where wedding ceremonies are held. This enables photographs of the bride walking up the aisle from a bird’s eye view. A white arched pergola, white chairs and red carpet complete the picture postcard look.
It’s definitely worth considering if you’re planning a wedding in the Eastern Bay.”

“The moment we drove in the gate’s of Sweet Magnolia Estate we knew it was the place for us, and it just got better the further we drove down the drive.
Wendy is what makes the garden’s unique and stand out like no other, The gardens are beautiful yes, but take on a whole new meaning when you met her and see the lovely person behind the beauty she has created. Wendy made us feel very welcome and we felt and instant friendship with her, it didn’t feel like we were visiting a stranger’s lovely garden but a friends or family’s home – it was a very surreal feeling.
Wendy went all out for our day and made it just perfect for our friends and our family and for us. If we were to do it again we wouldn’t dream of changing our venue.”
